I met the Shoemaker family at the Waynedale Community Missionary Alliance Church. Daughter, Gena, was in my toddler Sunday School class.

When I married my husband, Ernie Maslin, I asked for Gena to be our flower girl. She was so cute walking up that short aisle in her long green dress and white shoes and gloves and green flower in her hair. I've lost pictures over the years, but it's fresh in my mind.

My heart and strength goes to Ruby family. She spoken so highly of you all. She was so proud of you guys. I'm honored to have known Ruby in this lifetime. She was an amazing woman. Heaven have indeed gain an angle in Ruby. It was a privilege to have countless conversations with her. An wise, funny, and caring woman.

So sorry for your loss. Mary Kathryn mentioned that she remembered Ruby because she was a neighbor to her Aunt Christine Braun. I'm sending Ruby's obituary to cousin Jeannie Braun whom Mary also told me that Ruby and Jeannie were good friends. Jeannie is in a nursing home in North Carolina.
