Dr. Charles A. Wilson, SCB, 79, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Bronx, NY, Charles completed his undergraduate work at Long Island University and later earned his Doctorate from the London School of Business. His early experience as a management consultant led him to relocate the family to Fort Wayne, where he owned and operated several small businesses. He retired in 2004 as CEO of Connor Corporation. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Hall Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Knights of Malta, and the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre. He was a good friend, loving husband and father, known for his good sense of humor. In addition to his own children he was a strong father figure to extended family and close friends. A true son of Ireland, he reveled in an eponymous cocktail and a good story told in his finest Gaelic brogue. Surviving are his wife, Ann Marie Wilson of Fort Wayne; son, Charles (Mary) Wilson of Towson, MD; son, James Wilson of Fort Wayne; daughter, Bernadette Wilson of Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Anne Marie Wilson of Fort Wayne; son, Michael (Banu) Wilson of Charlotte, NC; son, Timothy Wilson of Carmel, IN; 6 grandchildren; sisters, Mary Erna Hall of Weeki Wachee, FL, Anne Marie (Joseph) Nappo of Sloatsburg, NY, and Elizabeth Covert of NY. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Anne Wilson; 2 sisters; and 1 brother. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:30 am, Friday, October 13, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with calling one hour prior. Calling also at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Rosary service at 3:30 pm.
