Daniel Bruce Mayfield, 70, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 at his home in Fort Wayne. He was a native and lifetime resident of Fort Wayne, IN. He was born to the late Fay and Angelina Mayfield. Daniel graduated from North Side High School in 1967 and was a US Army Veteran. He worked at the VA Hospital for 30 years in the dietary department and also for 10 years at St. Anne Retirement Home. Daniel was an avid wood worker and enjoyed making gifts for family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling, and going to garage sales. Surviving are his wife, Lynn D Mayfield of Fort Wayne, IN; sister, Jo (David) Nuttle of Fort Wayne, IN; 5 nieces and 1 nephew, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Daniel was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and Dale Mayfield. Service will be 10:00 am Friday July 13, 2018 at McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road Fort Wayne, IN. with calling one hour prior. Calling also Thursday, July 12, 2018, from 2- 4 & 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
