Elmer H. Johnson, 75, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at Bethlehem Woods Rehab Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Harlan, KY, Elmer worked with Prairie Farms for 20 years, retiring in 2004. He was a 35 year member of Branches of Christ Ministries. Elmer had a strong faith and enjoyed reading his bible. He was a loving husband, dad, and grandfather and will be missed greatly. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Donna K. Johnson of Fort Wayne; sons, Howard E. (Amanda) Johnson and Heath A. (Celia) Johnson both of Fort Wayne; daughter, Rhonda Kay (Wendell) Tabler of Zanesville, OH; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Freddy Johnson of Huntington, IN and Ralph Johnson of Wabash, IN. Elmer was preceded in death by father, Pearl H. Johnson; mother, Daisy Johnson; and daughter, Roberta Johnson. Service is 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Branches of Christ Ministries, 2010 E. Tillman Road with Rev. Joe Simpson officiating with an hour of calling prior to the service. Calling at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue Tuesday, October 10, 2017, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
