Frank B. Wiedman, 88, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 at Genesis Healthcare in New Haven. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late Benjamin B and Emily B Wiedman. Frank graduated from Central HS and was a Korean War Navy Veteran. He was a Letter Carrier with U.S. Postal Service for 22 years, retiring in 1989. His memberships included, Hope United Methodist Church, Community Harvest Food Bank. Senior Pack Methodist Men, and the American Legion Post of New Haven, IN. Frank was an avid IU fan, enjoyed woodworking and had a lifetime passion collecting HO electronic trains. Surviving are his wife, of 66 years, Marilyn Louise Vanhorn Wiedman of Fort Wayne, IN; children, Dr. Lawrence A. (Katie) Wiedman of Huntington, IN; Bradley K. (Teresa) Wiedman of Kendallville, IN; Suzanne K. (Barry) Dibble of Fort Wayne, IN; Theresa J. (Richard) Fischer of Easton, PA; brother, Charles R. (Ann) Wiedman of Antwerp, OH; 12 grandchildren & 21 great grandchildren . Frank was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ralph E. and sister, Doris L. Nieb. Service is 1:30 pm Thursday October 12, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling one hour prior, Pastor Tammy Lugar officiating.. Calling also from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday October 11, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Honor Flight.
