Frank D. Frary, 83, a former Fort Wayne resident, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at River Terrace Estates in Bluffton, where he had resided since 2015. Born and raised in Fort Wayne, son of the late Ruth R. (Duncan) Frary and Harold Calvin Frary, Frank attended South Side High School, Indiana University and the University of Saint Francis . He met Dorothy Neff-Smith at the Democratic Luncheon Club, November 1962. They married August 26, 1966, in McMillen Chapel of First Presbyterian Church. Frank served in the Army for six years, including one year in Europe. He was Chief of Security Operations for the Arts United Center (formerly the Performing Arts Center) for twenty-five years. He was also Deputy Field Appraiser for the Office of the Wayne Township Assessor. For many years Frank was active in the Democratic Party. In the late 1960s and early 70s he served as Precinct Committeeman and as Fifth District Ward Chairman and was the Democratic Party's representative to the Board of Voter Registration. A special interest was the "Frary Family Association," a historic site at Deerfield, Massachusetts, which Frank has served as national president. Frank was a Jubilee Member of 61 years at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Wayne. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, in January 2017. Service is 11:00 am, Friday, June 22, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Wayne St. with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
