Jean Ellison , 87, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Park Place Senior Living in Ft. Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Jean was a member of St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She was a beloved mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the staff of Park Place Senior Living for the loving care given to Jean. Surviving are her children, Laurie (Fred) Stevens of Celina, TN, Tim (Kim) Ellison of Fort Wayne, and Mimi (Max) Newman of Avilla; daughter-in-law, Julie Ellison of Kendallville; 7 grandchildren, Joe Burris, Emily (Grant) Harmeyer, Aaron (Sara) Burris, Jenna (Chris) vanOoyen, Kari Ellison, Sorell Harkenrider, and Kegan Harkenrider; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Thomas Kleber of Fort Wayne, Joan Hanke of New Haven, and Phillip (Faye) Kleber of Garrett. Jean was preceded in death by husband Joseph Ellison; father, Frank Kleber; mother, Gertrude Kleber; son, Phillip Ellison; and 4 siblings. Mass of Christian Burial is Thursday, November 16, 2017 in St. Charles Borromeo, 4916 Trier Rd, at 10:30 am with Father Polycarp Fernando officiating with an hour of calling prior to Mass. Calling at - D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Wednesday, November 15, 2017, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Rosary, Wednesday, November 15, 2017, 3:30 pm in the funeral home. Burial in Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
