Judith E. Shore, 76, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Born May 17, 1941 in Lagrange, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Lacey and Delores Shore.
Judy was a 1960 graduate of Southside High School in Fort Wayne, IN. She spent most of her career as an accountant, working at Weigand Construction for 15 years and Tile Interior for more than 25 years. Judith was active in her community as a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the American Business Women, Red Hats Society, and the Three Rivers Festival for more than 25 years. Judith was a faithful and active member of Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's group, often serving as an usher and Treasurer.
Judy loved her friends dearly and enjoyed traveling with them around the world. She especially loved cruises. She was full of life and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter, Kathleen (Shawn) Williams; grandchildren, Peter, Stephen, John, Kevin and Sofia Williams; sister-in-law, Ann (Lance) Mauro; half-sister, Brenda (Jeff) Taylor; half-brother, Don (Diane) Williams; nephew, Scott (Amy) Shore; nieces, Tezra Shore and Carrie Bieberich and grand niece, Emma Shore. Judith was preceded in death by her brother, Lance Shore.
Funeral service will take place at 11am on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church, 10145 Maysville Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46835, with calling 1 hour prior
The family will receive friends between 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018 at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46835.
Internment will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, IN immediately following the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church.
