Judith "Judy" A. Niezer, 72, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Judy volunteered at Bishop Luers High School, St. Joe Hospital, and the Northeast Indiana Radio Reading for the visually impaired. She was a woman of strong faith who enjoyed spending time with her family especially her three beloved grandchildren. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed reading, knitting, and playing Mahjong. Surviving are her sons Ned (Julie) Niezer of Noblesville and Matt (Amber) Niezer of Fort Wayne; daughter Jamie (Jim) Uecker; and three grandchildren, Zack and Carlie Niezer and Daisy Niezer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years John Niezer and parents Ned and Betty Gill. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 am, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4500 South Fairfield Avenue with calling one hour prior to Mass. Calling at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, Friday, October 12, 2018, 4:00 – 8:00 pm with a Rosary service at 3:30 pm.
