Mildred J. Oswalt, 89, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on June 24, 1928 in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of the late George and Maud Bingham. She retired from Rea Magnet Wire in 2002. Mildred was a long-time member of North Highlands Church of Christ. Among her hobbies were ceramics, gardening, visiting her son in Michigan, and enjoying concerts at the Embassy Theatre. Her primary focus was always caring for others. Surviving is a son Robert D. Miller of East Lansing, Michigan; two grandsons, Tim Myers of Atlanta, GA and Steve Myers Fort Wayne, IN; two great grandsons, Jordan and Mikel Myers; and a granddaughter, Gretchen. Preceding her in death was her late husbands, Donald W. Miller and Donald Oswalt; and a daughter, Jean Ann Click. Funeral service will be held at 11AM on Friday, August 11, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park 1140 Lake Ave Fort Wayne, IN 46805 with calling 1 hour prior. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 6-8PM also at the funeral home. Burial to take place in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to North Highlands Church of Christ.
