Myrtle Lucille Wildason, 93, of Fort Wayne, passed from this life into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Heritage Park. Born on January, 22, 1924 in Clawson, Mich., she was a daughter of the late Emery and Bernice Dumas. A graduate of Central High School, class of 1944, she was a store keeper with ITT Aerospace Optical Division for 35 years, from which she retired. Myrtle moved to Lexington, KY., upon retirement and returned 19 years later to Fort Wayne. She was a member of Third Street Church of God and Old Paris Road Church of God in Lexington. She raised her nieces, Barbara and Gloria, as her own daughters and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She is survived by her niece, Barbara Sturges; great-nephews, Timothy (Andrea Smith) VanGorder and William Imus; great-niece, Brandee Sterling; great great-nephews, Brockton Sterling, Tyson Sterling, and William Imus Jr.; and great great-niece, Allison Imus. She was also preceded in death by her adopted parents, Harrison and Flossie Wildason; sister, Doris Herendeen; infant brother, James Dumas; niece, Gloria Imus; infant niece, Gladys Herendeen; and great great-niece, Savannah Imus. Funeral Service will be 1:00pm on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be 5-7pm on Friday, July 21, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice or the Alzheimers Association.
