Richard E. Ostman, 93, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Richard worked as an engineer with International Harvester for 35 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Marcella E Ostman of Fort Wayne; children, Charles (Wynema) Ostman of Garrett, IN, Jane (Ralph) Reppert of Fort Wayne, Annie (Chris) Watson of North Augusta, SC, Mary (Gary) Thompson of Huntington, IN;17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Smolik of Littleton, CO; and brother, Dennis Osterman of Palm Bay, FL. Richard was preceded in death by father, Norman P Ostman; mother, Bessie R Ostman; daughter, Jean Ellen Rodriguez; and sister, Mary Miller. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am, Monday, February 12, 2018 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Drive with Father Robert D'Souza officiating with an hour of calling prior to the Mass.
