Ruthanna Gaff, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 8, 2018. Born in Dekalb County, Indiana, Ruthanna was the daughter of the late William and Elva Hull. Ruthanna worked at GE during the War prior to getting married to the love of her life, Enlo John Gaff, who preceded her in death in 1994. Once her children were older she became an attendance clerk at Snider High School where she worked for 20 years until retiring. She was a member of First Missionary Church, Settlers, and two social clubs, Agenda and a Home Ec club called Ecoettes. Ruthanna enjoyed sewing, crafting, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are her daughters, Denise (Jerry) De Mars, Yvette Kleven, both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Jill (Jeremy) Aker, Jeff (Erika) De Mars, Matt (Ashley) De Mars, Dan (Carson) De Mars, Sara Hoppe; great-grandchildren, Jake, Abby, Charlotte, Allison, Lucy, Eden; brother, Harrison Hull of Fort Wayne; and sister, Bea (Harold) Houser of Phoenix, AZ. Ruthanna was preceded in death by her siblings, Irene Donohue, Datha Pettit, Gretchen Pierce, Garner Hull, and Rachel Grey. A Celebration of Life Service is 3:00 pm, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road with calling one hour prior. Calling at the funeral home Friday, January 12, 2018, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Private Graveside Services. Memorials may be made to the First Missionary Church or The Towne House Retirement Community.
